The hobby is open to people of all ages, backgrounds, experience and ability, offering members a creative outlet and providing the community with plays, musicals and pantomimes to enjoy.

As part of their project ‘Picture in the Paper’, artists LOW PROFILE searched for all of the people in Bath who are actively involved with amateur dramatics, bringing them together to make a professional photographic portrait of as many people in this group as possible.

The amateur dramatics players portrait was one of 18 group photographs taken in November 2014, before being published in the Bath Chronicle and then put on permanent public display, in the new Centre for the Arts at the University of Bath when it opened in February 2015.
