Reasons for selecting: We were attracted to this highly skilled and dedicated group of professionals, who often work across several gyms and teach many different classes, meeting a large number of people living and working in Bath. We admire the way in which instructors adapt each class they teach for those who attend, whilst keeping up to date with new teaching material and accreditation.

As part of their project ‘Picture in the Paper’, artists LOW PROFILE searched for all of the people in Bath who teach or lead group exercise classes, bringing them together to make a professional photographic portrait of as many people in this group as possible.

The group fitness instructors portrait was one of 18 group photographs taken in November 2014, before being published in the Bath Chronicle and then put on permanent public display, in the new Centre for the Arts at the University of Bath when it opened in February 2015
